Andrew Clow went 2-4 as the Gaithersburg Giants (14-14) took home a 3-1 victory over the Vienna River Dogs (13-15) in eight innings at Criswell Automotive Field on Thursday.
He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.Brady Adam pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out four.
A bright spot for the Vienna River Dogs in the defeat was Tim Davis, who allowed only one run while striking out six.
Brandon Estrain improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gaithersburg Giants. Estrain struck out one, walked two and gave up no hits.
Jordan Sergent (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
