Monday was a great day for Joe Tietjen, as he hit two home runs to carry the D.C. Grays (10-20) to a 5-2 victory over the Youses Orioles (12-18) at Washington Nationals Academy.

Sam Delaplane struck out eight hitters en route to the the D.C. Grays win. Delaplane allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks over six innings.

The D.C. Grays had no answer for Andrew Davis, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The D.C. Grays managed just one hit off of Davis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Brandon Casas was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
