Karson Myers was cold coming off the bench, but Myers warmed up quickly as Myers stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the Prince Edward Island (3-2) to a 5-4 win over the Saskatchewan (3-2) on Saturday at BBoys Vaughan Grove two.

With the game scoreless in the first inning Myers came to the plate and singled.

The Prince Edward Island got their bats going early, scoring four runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Saskatchewan. The Prince Edward Island scored in the first on an RBI single by Myers, a three-run single by Myers, and a groundout by Brett Platts.

It was a good day at the plate for the Prince Edward Island's Kallum Muirhead. Muirhead went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings.

Muirhead got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over six innings. Muirhead struck out six, walked four and gave up six hits.

Kaito Farquharson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Saskatchewan, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
