Three first-inning runs helped the Vaughan (4-0) to a 3-0 win over the British Columbia (2-2) at BBoys Vaughan Grove two on Saturday.

The Vaughan scored in the first on an RBI double by Ryan Kula, an RBI double by Danny Mahoney, and an error.

Mahoney was solid at the plate for the Vaughan. Mahoney went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run.

The British Columbia couldn't get anything going so long as Ornello Iannace was on the hill. The British Columbia managed just one hit off of Iannace, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Liam Kruse (0-1) took the loss for the British Columbia. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
