The Medicine Hat Mavericks (8-4) and the Regina Red Sox (7-4) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-4 win at Athletic Park.

Michael Olson racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Rob Hogenkamp racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Regina Red Sox. He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Myles Richards recorded his first win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Labradford Griffis couldn't get it done on the hill for the Regina Red Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
