The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (14-14) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (10-17) 6-5 in seven innings on Thursday at Vineyard Baseball Park behind Jon Testani, who went 2-2 and hit a home run.

Ryan Venditti had an impressive outing against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' lineup. Venditti held the Marthas Vineyard Sharks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Mike Fitzgerald recorded his second win of the year for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed two runs over four innings. Fitzgerald struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Connor Smith ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
