Ryan Zimmerman kept the River City Rascals (33-21) off the board during his six innings of work and the Rockford Aviators (25-29) beat the River City Rascals, 3-0.

Zimmerman struck out five and allowed one walk and six hits.

It was a good day at the plate for the Rockford Aviators' Tanner Witt. Witt went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Chase Doremus was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
