Alex Valenti struck out 14 batters to lift the North Shore Navigators (3-8) to a 2-1 win over the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide at The Ball Park in eight innings.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (2-8) jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide were ahead until the eighth inning, but the North Shore Navigators would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Stanley Susana.

Matt Ramsay had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Joey Royer was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the North Shore Navigators batters and allowing one run.
