Frank Pluskota went 1-2, sparking the Moose Jaw Miller Express (9-6) to a 5-1 victory in eight innings over the Weyburn Beavers (5-7) on Sunday at Tom Laing Park.

Josh Janzen kept contact to a minimum, striking out five the Weyburn Beavers batters. Janzen allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over five innings.

Scott Fabre had a hot bat for the Weyburn Beavers. Fabre went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Sean Stanislawski couldn't get it done on the bump for the Weyburn Beavers, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed three runs.
