Lopez's walk-off sacrifice fly send the Vienna River Dogs home winners, 8-7

A walk-off sacrifice fly from Ray Lopez brought home the winning run for the Vienna River Dogs (18-21) in an 8-7 victory over the Baltimore Dodgers at James Madison High School on Saturday.

Lopez racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Vienna River Dogs. He tripled in the second inning.

Quincy Nieporte racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Vienna River Dogs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Carey Cheek was hot from the plate for the Baltimore Dodgers (13-27). Cheek went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Ty Mockabee got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Mockabee struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Elijah Ginsburg was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
