The Vienna River Dogs (17-21) built an early edge on Friday, but the Bethesda Big Train (31-8) roared back to steal a 4-3 victory at Shirley Povich Field.

The Bethesda Big Train took the lead in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Wes Rea.

Ryne Willard was solid at the plate for the Bethesda Big Train. Willard went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

A bright spot for the Vienna River Dogs in the defeat was Mitchell MacKeith, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Andy Frakes improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Lansing Veeder (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
