A walk-off single from Matt Scioscia brought home the winning run for the Windy City ThunderBolts (7-4) in a 5-4 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners in 10 innings at Standard Bank Stadium on Wednesday.

Kyle Robinson put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the seventh and tenth innings.

Daniel Carela got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Matt Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The Windy City ThunderBolts were sparked by Doug Joyce and Robinson, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.
