Desmond Stegall went 2-4, sparking the D.C. Grays (11-23) to a 5-1 victory over the Bethesda Big Train (28-7) on Sunday at Shirley Povich Field.
He tripled in the second inning and singled in the sixth innings.Max Kaplow picked up the win for the D.C. Grays. Kaplow allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out six over eight innings of work.
Tayler Stiles couldn't get it done on the mound for the Bethesda Big Train, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
