JB Woodman knocked in three runs, helping the Baltimore Redbirds (21-10) to a 6-1 victory over the SS-T T Bolts (12-21) on Saturday at Calvert Hall HS.
He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.The SS-T T Bolts had no answer for Willie Rios, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The SS-T T Bolts managed just two hits off of the the Baltimore Redbirds' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Despite the loss, the SS-T T Bolts' Danny ODonnell dominated the Baltimore Redbirds' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.
Michael Austin was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
