A magnificent effort by Anton Constantino hoisted the Rockville Express (18-13) to a 4-0 win over the Herndon Braves (13-15) on Thursday at Montgomery College.
Constantino held the Herndon Braves scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven.
The Rockville Express got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Herndon Braves. The Rockville Express scored in the first on an RBI single by Devon Mahoney, an RBI single by Dakota Dean, an RBI single by Dean, and a fielder's choice.
Romeo Cortina reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
