The Baltimore Redbirds (16-10) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 6-3 ballgame against the Baltimore Dodgers (10-18) on Friday at Calvert Hall HS.

A wild pitch gave the Baltimore Dodgers the lead in the eighth inning.

Justin Morales went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Baltimore Dodgers. He singled in the first, fourth, fifth, and ninth innings.

Elijah Ginsburg had an impressive outing against the Baltimore Redbirds' lineup. Ginsburg held the Baltimore Redbirds hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Despite the loss, the Baltimore Redbirds' Willie Rios dominated the Baltimore Dodgers' batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight.

Robert Covarrubias improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Baltimore Dodgers. Covarrubias struck out none, walked two and gave up one hit.

Carson Bryant was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
