A walk-off single from Danny Lee Jr. brought home the winning run for the Vienna River Dogs (13-10) in a 4-3 victory over the Herndon Braves (10-13) at James Madison High School on Monday.

Lansing Veeder racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Vienna River Dogs. He homered in the fourth inning.

Tim Davis pitched seven innings and allowed three earned runs, three hits and three walks while striking out two.

Nick Morabito was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Vienna River Dogs batters and allowing two runs.

Denis Mikush got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Michael Byrne was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
