The Baltimore Redbirds (12-8) beat the Bethesda Big Train (18-3) 4-3 on Monday at Calvert Hall HS behind JB Woodman, who had two extra base hits.
He singled in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.Aaron McGarity pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out five.
Tyler Mikell got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.
