Zach Moore was cold coming off the bench, but Moore warmed up quickly as Moore stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Vienna River Dogs (9-10) to an 11-5 win over the Rockville Express (13-9) on Monday at Montgomery College.

With the score tied at one in the sixth inning, Moore came to the plate and singled.

The Vienna River Dogs left no doubt in the outcome with four runs in the ninth. The Vienna River Dogs scored in the ninth on a fielder's choice, a single by Shaun Corso, a hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly by Ty Kobylinski, a hit by pitch, and a single by Ricky Negron.

Garett Driscoll had a hot bat for the Vienna River Dogs. Driscoll went 3-4 and drove in one.

Casey Hood improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Vienna River Dogs. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Anton Constantino (3-1) took the loss for the Rockville Express. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
