Alan Mocabee went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Herndon Braves (8-10) to a 6-4 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (10-11) on Sunday at Herndon High School.
He homered in the seventh inning.Nick Morabito got the win for the Herndon Braves thanks to six strikeouts. Morabito allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks over six innings.
Kevin Ross was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
