The Bethesda Big Train (18-1) and the Baltimore Redbirds (11-8) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-6 win at Shirley Povich Field.

Stephen Alemais went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Bethesda Big Train. He singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings.

Tayler Stiles got the win for the Bethesda Big Train thanks to five strikeouts. Stiles allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over five innings.

Gavin Sheets reached base four times in the game for the Baltimore Redbirds. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Willie Rios (0-1) took the loss for the Baltimore Redbirds. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked five and struck out four.
