The Vienna River Dogs (6-9) beat the SS-T T Bolts (7-11) 7-2 on Friday at James Madison High School behind Shaun Corso, who went 2-4.
He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.The Vienna River Dogs relied on Tim Davis to eat up innings en route to the win. Davis pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out three.
A bright spot for the SS-T T Bolts in the defeat was Garrett Pearson, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.
Pearson couldn't get it done on the mound for the SS-T T Bolts, taking a loss.
