The Alexandria Aces (12-8) and the Baltimore Redbirds (11-7) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Alexandria Aces that eventually took advantage of them in a 2-1 win at Calvert Hall HS.

The Alexandria Aces relied on John Gora to eat up innings en route to the win. Gora pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out four.

A bright spot for the Baltimore Redbirds in the defeat was Brady Bramlett, who allowed only one run while striking out 10.

Carson Bryant (2-1) took the loss for the Baltimore Redbirds. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
