The Rockville Express (11-7) built an early lead against the Herndon Braves (6-9), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-4 win on Thursday at Montgomery College.

The Rockville Express scored in the first on a two-run double by Dakota Dean and an RBI double by Andrew Hutson.

Dean racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Rockville Express.

Jacob Weston boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Herndon Braves. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Chris Bodurian recorded his first win of the year for the Rockville Express. He allowed one run over four innings. Bodurian struck out four, walked four and gave up three hits.

Saul Aguilera ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
