The Gaithersburg Giants make the most of 9 hits in 9-5 victory over the Alexandria Aces

The Gaithersburg Giants (8-7) and the Alexandria Aces (9-7) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Gaithersburg Giants capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 9-5 win at Frank Mann Field.

Brady Acker led the Gaithersburg Giants' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Kevin Ross brought the heat against the Alexandria Aces during his outing. The Alexandria Aces managed just three hits off of Ross, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Josh Swirchak reached base three times in the game for the Alexandria Aces. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Levi Primasing ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
