Both the Bethesda Big Train (21-5) and the Vienna River Dogs (13-11) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at James Madison High School.

Brandon Lowe racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He homered in the fourth inning.

Kevin Lachance was hot from the plate for the Vienna River Dogs. Lachance went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Josh Thorne improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed one run over two-thirds of an inning. Thorne struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Jordan Sergent couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Vienna River Dogs, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
