Five first-inning runs helped the Bethesda Big Train (18-1) to a 5-1 win over the Youses Orioles (8-12) at Shirley Povich Field on Monday.

The Bethesda Big Train scored in the first on an RBI single by Logan Farrar, a two-run error, and a two-run single by Ryne Willard.

Willard boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Bethesda Big Train.

Tayler Stiles put together a nice outing. The Youses Orioles managed just three hits off of the the Bethesda Big Train's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Zack Ridgely (0-3) took the loss for the Youses Orioles. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
