Matthew Davis went 2-3 as the Youses Orioles (2-4) took home a 2-1 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (5-4) at Criswell Automotive Field on Sunday.

Octavio Rodriguez had an impressive outing against the Gaithersburg Giants' lineup. Rodriguez gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out eight during his five innings of work.

Kevin Ross put together a nice outing. The Youses Orioles managed just one hit off of Ross, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Brian Shaffer improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Youses Orioles. He allowed one run over four innings. Shaffer struck out five, walked none and gave up three hits.

Jorge Flores was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
