The Herndon Braves (3-2) beat the Vienna River Dogs (2-4) 5-1 on Saturday at Herndon High School behind Kyle Burger, who went 1-1.

Tanner Love kept contact to a minimum, striking out four the Vienna River Dogs batters. Love allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over five innings.

Tim Davis (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
