Connor Mailloux tossed a shutout to lift the Ontario (1-0) to a 6-0 win over the Prince Edward Island (0-1) at Mainland Commons in seven innings.

Mailloux held the Prince Edward Island scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up nine.

The Ontario blew out the Prince Edward Island thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Ontario scored three runs in the sixth on the Ontario scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Matt Sykes, an error, a fielder's choice, and a sacrifice fly by Steven Adam.
