Brendan Emmett went 1-2, sparking the Ontario two (3-1) to a 5-4 victory in eight innings over the Manitoba (2-2) on Saturday at Field one.
He doubled in the seventh inning.Adam Banski pitched lights out for the Ontario two. The Manitoba managed just one hit off of the the Ontario two's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Drew Haight was hot from the plate for the Manitoba. Haight went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and eighth innings.
Paul Thompson (0-1) took the loss for the Manitoba. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
