Troy Black went 1-3 as the Ontario two (2-1) took home a 2-1 victory over the Nova Scotia (2-2) in seven innings at Field one on Saturday.
He tripled in the fourth innings. The Ontario two got the win thanks in large part to Paul McKenna's dominant, six-strikeout performance. McKenna allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over seven innings.
A bright spot for the Nova Scotia in the defeat was Jeff Reeves, who allowed only two runs while striking out 12.
Reeves ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
