The Mt. Hood (36-3) shut the door early on the Grays Harbor (9-24), capturing a 16-1 victory on Friday at Delta Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Mt. Hood exerted their will early with 13 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Morgan Entze, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Megan Reed, a sacrifice fly by Kelsey Reams, and an RBI single by Emma Bird during the first inning and a two-run home run by Entze, a two-run double by Reams, an RBI single by Kasidee Lemberger, an RBI single by Jordyn Anderson, an RBI single by Chelsea Spanier, and an RBI single by Entze in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Mt. Hood.

Entze racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Mt. Hood.

The Grays Harbor couldn't get anything going so long as Ann-Marie Guischer was on the hill. Guischer held the Grays Harbor hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six.

Jenny Benn was charged with his fifteenth loss of the year. He allowed 16 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out one.
