A six-run explosion in the seventh inning spurred the Douglas (25-6) to a 10-3 win in seven innings over the Everett (13-26) at Everett Boys _ Girls Club on Tuesday.
Hillary Strelau was solid at the plate for the Douglas. Strelau went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.
The Douglas relied on Tori Belton to eat up innings en route to the win. Belton allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Alisa Ortega (6-16) took the loss for the Everett. He allowed 10 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out two.
