Ty Detmer went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Hays (KS) Larks (2-0) to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle (WA) Studs (1-1) on Saturday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.

David Koll pitched lights out for the Hays (KS) Larks. Koll held the Seattle (WA) Studs hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Jake Fromson recorded his first win of the year for the Hays (KS) Larks. He allowed one run over five innings. Fromson struck out one, walked four and gave up three hits.

Ross Humes couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Seattle (WA) Studs, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
