He singled in the first and fifth innings.Justin Vernia picked up the win for the Tacoma. Vernia pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out five.
Cobi Beal was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Tacoma batters and allowing three runs.
Beal ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
