A 10-run explosion in the sixth inning lifted the Chemeketa (23-18) to a 13-2 win in six innings over the Clark (7-27) at Wallace Marine Park on Monday.
Destinee Chang racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Chemeketa. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the first and fifth innings, and homered in the sixth inning.
The Chemeketa relied on Emilie Leach to eat up innings en route to the win. Leach allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out two over six innings of work.
Bryce Baucum (3-13) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 13 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
The Chemeketa easily handled the Clark pitching as six hitters combined for 18 hits, 12 RBIs and nine runs scored.
