An ace performance by Alex Emerson lifted the Chemeketa (19-18) to a 2-1 win in seven innings over the Lane (21-15) on Thursday at Chemeketa.

The Lane had no answer for Emerson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Lane managed just one hit off of Emerson, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.

Beau Uealand was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
