Samuel Fragale went 1-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Lake Norman Copperheads (7-5) to a 7-5 victory in seven innings over the Carolina Vipers (2-8) on Saturday at Hopewell HS.
He homered in the third inning.Michael Massardo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Carolina Vipers. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Even though Chad Adkins allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. Adkins struck out nine, walked none and gave up six hits.
Keith Walsh (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
