The Newport (1-2) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring four runs in the seventh inning, en route to an easy 11-1 win over the Town Dock (2-3) at Cardines Field.

The Newport scored four runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Dante Blancarte, an error, an RBI single by Bill Bergan, and an RBI single by Mike Melillo.

Melillo racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Newport.

CJ Silva kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Town Dock batters. Silva allowed one earned run, four hits and four walks over seven innings.

Dylan Cummiskey (0-1) took the loss for the Town Dock. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
