The RR Legion (0-2) didn't put up much of a fight on Monday, as the Westcott (1-0) cruised to a blowout 10-0 win in seven innings at Cardines Field.
The Westcott scored five runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Ryan Cabral, a fielder's choice, a sacrifice fly by Carlos Sanabria, a two-run single by Brandon Cessino, and a double by Jim Deady.
Deady racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Westcott.
Jacob Marchessault had an impressive outing against the RR Legion's lineup. The RR Legion managed just two hits off of Marchessault, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.
Despite the loss, the RR Legion's Tommy Darby dominated the Westcott's batters, giving up three runs and striking out 11.
Darby ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.
