Friday was a great day for Cheyenne Barger, as he hit two home runs to carry the Treasure Valley (21-10) to an 11-1 victory over the Columbia Basin (11-16) in six innings.
The Treasure Valley blew out the Columbia Basin thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Treasure Valley scored five runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Christie Tensen, a two-run single by Lindsey Stover, a solo home run by Barger, an RBI single by Haylee Hathorn, and a single by Jessica Capson.
Capson got the win for the Treasure Valley thanks to seven strikeouts. Capson allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over five innings.
Gabby Meza ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Treasure Valley's Tensen, Capson, Stover and Barger combined for nine hits and 11 RBIs.
