Ortega allows no runs to lead the Everett past the Skagit Valley 8-0

Alisa Ortega kept the Skagit Valley (8-19) off the board during his six innings of work and the Everett (11-13) beat the Skagit Valley, 8-0.

Ortega struck out five and allowed one walk and five hits.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Everett to easily put away the Skagit Valley. An RBI single by Kayla Brissey and a two-run double by Minna Ward during the first inning and a solo home run by Savanah Hallam and a groundout by Brissey in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Everett.

Hallam was hot from the plate for the Everett. Hallam went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Holly Hawkins was charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
