Mercedes Green went 2-2 as the Mt. Hood (25-0) took home a 10-5 victory over the Pierce (10-14) in six innings at Mt Vernon HS on Saturday.
He doubled in the third innings and singled in the fifth innings.Courtney Cox got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Ann-Marie Guischer recorded his eighth win for the Mt. Hood even though he allowed five runs over six innings. He struck out 14, walked four and surrendered nine hits.
Kelsi Goodwin (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in five innings, walked five and struck out none.
