The Worcester Bravehearts take out the Pittsfield Suns with help from DeYoung, 8-3

Mark DeYoung had two extra base hits as the Worcester Bravehearts (32-22) took home an 8-3 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (26-27) at Wahconah Park on Sunday.

He homered in the fifth inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the ninth innings.

Dan Palazzo put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Kyle Slinger recorded his fourth win of the year for the Worcester Bravehearts. He allowed three runs over six innings. Slinger struck out none, walked none and gave up five hits.

Mitch Holt couldn't get it done on the hill for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

Ian Strom, DeYoung and Darian Ramage helped lead the Worcester Bravehearts. They combined for eight hits and five RBIs.
