A two-run error and an RBI single by TJ Riccio in the first inning and an RBI double by Ian Strom and an RBI triple by Brendan OReilly during the second inning helped the Worcester Bravehearts put some runs on the board early.Strom reached base four times in the game for the Worcester Bravehearts. He scored three runs and had two RBIs.
Kyle Slinger picked up the win for the Worcester Bravehearts. Slinger allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out two over six innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' Kurtis White dominated the Worcester Bravehearts' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.
Kevin OConnor ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
