The Worcester Bravehearts (23-17) shut the door early on the Torrington Titans, capturing an 8-1 victory on Friday at Fitton Field.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the Worcester Bravehearts to put the game away early.

A two-run home run by Nick Nunziato in the first inning and a hit by pitch, a single by Shane Sandoval, an RBI single by Nate Pajka, an error, a single by Nunziato, a single by Andy Lack, and a double by Mark DeYoung during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Worcester Bravehearts.

Nunziato racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Worcester Bravehearts.

The Worcester Bravehearts got the win thanks in large part to Logan Fullmer's dominant, four-strikeout performance. The Worcester Bravehearts' pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Despite the loss, the Torrington Titans (21-18)'s David Gerics dominated the Worcester Bravehearts' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Zachary LaRosa (1-2) took the loss for the Torrington Titans. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
