Ryan Retz went 2-4, sparking the Roswell Invaders (32-23) to a 5-4 victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (15-37) on Tuesday at Joe Bauman Park.

Tyler Garkow baffled the Las Vegas Train Robbers, striking out eight batters. Garkow allowed one earned run, seven hits and two walks over eight innings.

Caleb Olson was effective even in defeat, mowing down nine the Roswell Invaders batters and allowing three runs.

Nick Oddo racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Hobie McClain got the win, running his season record to 2-0. McClain struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Clint Manzo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
