Eric Kozel went 2-3, helping the Santa Fe Fuego (45-22) to a 5-3 victory over the Taos Blizzard (22-41) on Friday at Taos Tundra.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.Cody Coffman had three extra-base hits for the Taos Blizzard. He doubled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.
Jeremiah Steinert improved to 7-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
Jordan Kraus (1-1) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
