Justin Pearson went 2-5, sparking the Raton Osos (23-39) to a 5-2 victory over the Taos Blizzard (22-41) on Monday at Taos Tundra.
He singled in the third and eighth innings.Evan Howard pitched lights out for the Raton Osos. Howard held the Taos Blizzard hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Phil Richmond recorded his second win of the year for the Raton Osos. He allowed one run over five innings. Richmond struck out six, walked six and gave up three hits.
Enoch Deaton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
